Jido 2.0 has been launched after 18 months of development, moving away from its initial version that was overengineered. This release focuses on simplifying the framework with a pure functional agent architecture that eases debugging, testing, and integration with AI capabilities.
The new version introduces the
cmd/2function, allowing actions to be processed while maintaining a clean data structure. It also supports a range of reasoning strategies for AI integration, alongside a growing ecosystem that includes first-class support for the Ash framework, enabling seamless AI tools integration.
