We’ve been working with MCP servers for a while, and this use case was a perfect opportunity to build out another one.
The goal of this article is to give you an overview of how we built a simple MCP server in Elixir, focusing on using the appropriate libraries and understanding how to manage connections and request handling in a fault-tolerant way. We will discuss the challenges we faced during development and how we solved them, as well as provide sample code snippets to illustrate key concepts.
