When syncing RSS feeds across devices, I often faced frustration. Previously, various solutions like TinyRSS and Feedly fell short, making me rely on major platforms. But with NetNewsWire 6.0’s support for FreshRSS, I found a way back to a decentralized RSS experience. My setup includes FreshRSS running in a Docker container with simplified management of feeds and read statuses.
The installation process was straightforward, revolving around a simple
docker-composeconfiguration. I encountered minor hiccups, like FeedReader opening links in its own browser, but overall, the integration provides a centralized platform for all my content from sources like YouTube, Reddit, and blogs. Having both a native app and web interface means I can manage my reading habits efficiently without relying on intrusive trackers.
